Building The Short Film Show — From an Idea to a Real Platform

What started as a small idea and a lot of late nights has grown into something real, a proper platform built from the ground up for short films and the people who make them.

We have spent months refining every part of it, from the design and structure to the way each film is delivered. The platform and app are now only a few months away from launch, and it is all starting to take shape.

Behind the scenes, The Short Film Show runs on a solid technical foundation. The system operates across multiple servers in Europe and the cloud, with a custom backend and adaptive streaming pipeline built specifically for short form storytelling. It has been engineered for reliability, performance, and real world audiences.

It will not be perfect from day one, but it has been built properly with real technology, solid infrastructure, and a clear purpose to give short films the space and attention they deserve.

A few of the features coming at launch include:
Tip Jar – direct viewer support for filmmakers
Filmmakers Impact Fund – rewarding creators for every view
Profiles and Favourites – helping filmmakers connect with their audience

As independent creators ourselves, getting to this stage means a lot. It has taken time, but it has been worth it, and this is only the beginning.

We are almost ready to start streaming.
Here is a first look at what is coming.
