Content Submission Policy: The Plain-English Summary

The Short Film Show welcomes filmmakers of all levels to submit their creative work for consideration on our platform. This policy provides a simplified version of key points of the agreement.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to submit content.
All submissions must comply with our technical and creative guidelines.

2. Submission Process

Submit your content via your registered account on our website.
All submissions are reviewed for suitability at our sole discretion.
Not all submissions will be selected for use on our platforms.

3. Licensing Agreement

By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive or exclusive (depending on your agreement) licence to use, distribute, and promote your work across our platforms, including television, websites, apps, and social media.
Exclusive content may receive enhanced promotion.

4. The Filmmaker Impact Fund

Taking part is subject to eligibility, and the Fund is not a guarantee of earnings.
Viewing on our 24/7 channel is not part of the Fund.

5. Responsibilities of the Filmmaker

You must own or have obtained all necessary rights for the content, including music, visuals, and talent releases.
Content must not infringe on any third-party rights or violate applicable laws.

6. Content Removal

Content may not be withdrawn during any agreed-upon exclusivity period.
For non-exclusive content, removal requests may be considered under specific circumstances and require written notice.

7. Technical Requirements

Maximum length: 59 minutes.
Resolution: up to 1080p (1920×1080); 720p minimum. Larger than 1080p is declined at upload.
File size: under 5GB, H.264 in MP4 or MOV.
Non-English films can include English subtitles. If you do not supply them, we generate them.

8. Compliance and Legal Obligations

Submissions must comply with all applicable laws and platform guidelines.
Filmmakers indemnify The Short Film Show against any claims arising from their content.
